Project Name Description Status
Old Bank Restoration 3-phased project to restore the old bank building at the corner of Main and Harrison Streets.  Phase 1 replaces the entire roof structure.  Phase 2 restores the building structure to its original configuration of 100 years ago.  Phase 3 completes the interior renovation, including addition of ADA-compliant facilities and an elevator.  The project value is expected to be about $1.1 million.

Phase 1 is complete, with the entire roof structure replaced at a cost of $66,800.  Funding was contributed by Tri-CountyOK, The Chickasaw Nation, State of Oklahoma, and local contributors.  USDA Rural Business Enterprise Grant approved for $499,900.00 to restore bank for use as a rural medical clinic.  Architects are finalizing plans for formal approval by the Oklahoma State Historic Preservation Office. 

Main Street Historic Restoration Encourages Main Street property owners to plan and execute renovation of business facades to give an overall historic look to the Main Street business district.

 

Abbott's Grocery has completed renovation of its facade, including restoration of the original storefront at the west 25 feet.  The former Carter Gun and Supply has been purchased and the storefront renovated with a historic look as the new Pizza Shack.

Main Street Lighting Installs historic decorative lighting on both sides of Main Street in the historic business district. Completed June 2006.

Family Park Provides a regulation half-court concrete basketball court, family pavilion with BBQ grill, playground equipment, and off-street parking
