Chief of Police – Jason Teel

Chief Jason Teel has been in law enforcement since 1999 and has served as in his current position since July 2006.

  Chief Teel is from Antlers, Oklahoma, and graduated from the Council of Law Enforcement Education & Training (CLEET) in 2000.  He is a certified CLEET instructor, completed the Criminal Investigation Academy, completed Chief and Command Staff training, and is a member of the Ada CARE Cottage Multi-Disciplinary Team.

  He is also a member of the Stonewall Volunteer Fire Department.

  He has previously served with the Coal County Sheriff’s office.

Assistant Chief of Police – Chelsea James

Assistant Chief Chelsea James was appointed in October 2009.  She graduated from the Collegiate CLEET Academy and holds degrees in Law Enforcement and Juvenile Justice from East Central University, Ada, Oklahoma.

  Assistant Chief James is from Tupelo, Oklahoma.

Sergeant Allen Musser

Sergeant Allen Musser joined the department in October 2007.  He graduated from the Reserve CLEET Academy in 2007.

Officer John Ellis

Officer John Ellis has been in law enforcement since 2000 and has served the department since October 2008.

  Officer Ellis is from Tupelo, Oklahoma, and he graduated from the CLEET Reserve Officer Academy in 2001.  He is a trained emergency medical first responder.  He holds two Bachelor of Science degrees from Pennsylvania State University and East Central University.

  He is also a member of the Union Valley Volunteer Fire Department.

Officer Thomas Vaughn

Officer Thomas Vaughn joined the department in February 2009.  He is from Ada, and is married with three children.  He has completed the CLEET Reserve Officer Academy.

Officer John Ladner

Officer John Ladner joined the department in 2009.  He previously served at the Vian, OK Police Department and the Coal County Sheriff's Department.  He is a graduate of the CLEET Academy.  He currently lives at Atoka, OK.
